Coming together
Mac over at Pesky Apostrophe just posted the most amazing list of countries that are offering aid to the victims of Katrina. Honestly, I never knew something like this would ever happen. Countries still reeling from their own disasters, like Sri Lanka donated $25,000 to the Red Cross. Cuba, who has hated us for years, had a moment of silence and is offering unspecified aid. In all, 41 countries have made various offers. I am stunned.
My angry heart is touched in ways I just cannot express.
